With a catchment area of over 300 Square KM and a population of over 50, 000 people who habitually use that area, we need your help to make sure everyone knows that propection our water source is. To get an idea of just how deadly MCPA is, if you pealed the cover off a bottle containing MCPA and it got rinsed into a drain, the few wee drops of MCPA would Poison our water source beyond EU limits for over 30km. Products containing MCPA are available in all local hardware, animal feed and gardening shops. IS THE PRISTINE LAWN WORTH IT? . . . WE DON"T NEED TO SPREAD POISON
All the physical migration were concentrated in the most vulnerable sub catchment areas. The farmers approached were very agreeable to the measures being installed to protect our water. Thanks to their generosity, we have ample buffer zones that will help to protect our drinking water.
